In The Beginning...
Before the light existed there was the dark. The vast Void that was everything that existed at the time. It had a conscious and it was alone with the vast emptiness. Alone with his thoughts the Void began to try to give birth to these thoughts as he realized that these thoughts seemed to take on a life of their own. However, they died before he could be certain. He began to wonder what would happen if they didn't die. Would they become more? It was this thought that gave birth to the first of the Void children.
After many different attempts he managed to take three of these thoughts and combine them with a piece of himself creating the seeds that would grow and become the six warlords of the Void. Each of the three split into two separate beings. Beings that continued to believe they were connected to each other. Sharing the idea that they were two parts of a whole and in some ways since they had come from the same seed they were.
Other beings sprung up in the Void. How these other beings came to be exactly no one knows. Many theories have been tossed around but the darkness and the Void Children helped to shape the Void into their own domain. They ruled their for countless Eons living much the same until the day the light was born.
From the Darkness Comes the Light...
Without realizing it he had also planted a seed deep within himself. A tiny spark that over time grew to become something else. In the realm of the dark from with the Void itself out sprang the first light. She burst forth different from her siblings and yet still connected to them and her father. She married her father and became Queen of the Void living with him and helping to rule over their people. Giving birth to his son in a manner that no one had known was possible from within her own body.
This made the light wonder if she was capable of creating things by other means. If her body could create life why couldn't she simply think it into being. She decided to put her theory to a test and as such she created the world known as Asmiara and the first beings to reside upon it. The race known as witches.
She created six concepts or ideas that she believed would be needed to help the world to develop. These became known as the creative concepts. Creating the heads of the six clans of light that would help to form the world. She took each idea and gave it a form. Magic, nature, life, death, imagination, and fate were born this way. Fate to guide the path of people. Imagination to allow them to create ideas and to move forward. Life to give birth to more of their own. Death to allow life to go back to the world to give birth to new life. Nature to nurture the world around them and give substance to her people. And magic the will to mold the world as they needed and the elements that made it up.
She knew that the universe was about balance and thus she created six dark clans as will to mimic her brothers and sisters. But, knowing that they could not stay forever out of the Void she created heads to guard their clans in their stead. She also knew that the energy or power needed to fuel this world would need to be reset. Life was a cycle and it had to come full circle and return to the Void. Thus she gave this task to her siblings. Giving birth to the destructive concepts as the force to end time on her world.
Each of her siblings being assigned a role based on who they were and what they meant. Decay, disease, madness, chaos, war, manipulation. Decay is the end of nature. It takes the natural world and sends it back into the Earth to revive it. Disease is the end of life. When the body falls to it the body dies and returns to the earth that birthed it. Madness is the corruption of will. When it possesses one's mind they lose themselves. Chaos is the opposing force of fate. Fate is the plan for what is to be. Chaos is the disorder from which such plans are given birth. War is death on a large scale or death caused by a force outside of nature. And manipulation is the when imagination of free will is controlled by one outside yourself.
Time Moves on...
Over time the concepts also created races. These races spread across the land creating more of their kind forming the very foundation of the planet. The creative concepts ended up giving up their immortality to save the world during a time of great strife. The war that broke out from their lost as everyone vyed for power almost destroyed all witches. Six clans were lost during this time and Sloane the daughter of magic and madness took those that she could those not lost in the lust for power with her leaving the rest behind. She locked the doors of the city and drove those beyond redemption mad leaving them to kill each other. The others she took off to the new world burying the past and creating a new one.
The light watched as her creations spread off across the world growing, changing, adapting. The creatures of the Void could only watch the world in spirit form. In order to actually be a part of it they had to either find a way to be born within it or they had to possess someone. She decided she wanted to be apart of the world. It was this that made her bond with the first person. She made a deal with the person to help them and in exchange they would let her live inside of them experiencing the world until they died. She tried not to illicit too much change in their lives. Being content to be apart of them and watch moving back to her old form upon their death. She did this time and time again.
Another Life...
Until the life she took control of a young woman by the name of Aine Murphy. Aine was from the world known as Earth. She was born and raised in Ireland where the people believed she was cursed. She was able to see things that others could not. She could see the hidden realms of the fae. She could see across the veil. And the people thought she would bring disaster to them all. They were wrong. The fae king actually cared very much for the girl. The girl who had once upon a time been his wife.
However, they were convinced that the supernatural world would come to destroy her and thus them. So, they hunted her out into the woods as she ran to keep alive. There were forces at work that were trying to destory her to keep her from finding happiness as well as the humans. She was almost dead when the light came to her. The light made her an offer the same she had made countless others. To live inside of her and watch the world and sometimes to be apart of it. She would heal her wounds and help her to escape.
Aine agreed to the terms and she was taken to America. It was here that both the light and the girl's lives would change forever. Aine wasn't very trusting of strangers because she was afraid people would treat her like her own family and village had. But, she had to make a living. She was always a good singer and artist. So, she would sign for coin or paint portraits on the street. It was this way that she could come to meet the man that would be her husband. Lucjan Lavoie. Or so he had told her his name was the truth he was a god of a clan of witches from a far off world.
A New Family...
The light had often been with Luc in many of her lives. Or the lives that she had lived inside another's body. A game that was played throughout time. A fact that the girl Aine was unaware of to her he was just a random guy she met. He had sensed this but knew that the light tended to allow her hosts to live the life they choose and experienced it through their eyes to experience what it meant to be mortal and what decisions mortals made. She tried not to influence their path too much.
The two of them were married and they lived many years quite happily until the job that he fell apart. The two fell on hard times. They had ten children together but despite having to move to a poor area they were still happy. Aine loved her children very much and when her son Liam developed powers that threatened to drive him mad she sold her voice to a witch to help him. Her son always blamed himself for his mother no longer being able to sing. But, she would have traded anything to keep him well.
Time moved on and despite the poverty the family was close. Until it all came to a screeching halt. With a woman that came to fall in love with Liam. She wanted him and was used to getting her own way. He refused her because despite her being beautiful he saw her for what she was a bad person. And some say that Liam was in love with someone else. His younger sister Airi. Aine had noticed the way he looked at her. The girl Aine wasn't sure what to do but the goddess knew that some things are meant to be.
The woman in a rage over his refusal sent an assassin to kill his family to teach him a lesson for refusing her. He was a stranger that showed up looking for help at their door. They had never turned away someone in need and they weren't about to start. They offered him what little they could spare and a place to stay for the night. The man sensing the power within the family decided he would kill them and absorb their power. It actually might have worked had several things not happened.
A Broken World...
He moved through the house killing those that were inside. Liam was gone having heard some thing and went to make a deal with a demon named Dasan to save his family in exchange for his soul. Dasan agreed to save who he could. Aine tried to summon the light to help however during the fight the mirror that was Aine's link to her other self was shattered and she was unable to do anything believed to be dead. Her family was also thought to have died that day all expect for her youngest son Alex.
Liam and the demon were too late. The man killed each child and was finishing killing Airi who he actually was going to bring back in order to keep her for himself when Alex used his magic to destroy the man. The magic along with Dasan's attempt to save them sent Airi flying into another world and into the future. Alex was the only one left standing. The others were all dead. Alex was than found and taken in by some witches from the world Asmiara. The world his father was from and the spirit inside his mother.
They trained him to use his power and over time he rose to become a clan head. Airi was sent to the future and Liam deciding that he responisble for it all happening decided to become a demon. Dasan having not been able to keep his end offered him a new deal to become a demon and serve him. He agreed and didn't look back for many years. He sent out to get revenge on the woman that had hurt his family. He gave her what she wanted him. However, she got her with child and left her with a reminder of what she would never have again.
With her children all gone and Aine believed dead when in fact the light had tried to help and her power had been shattered causing confusion and madness. Sindri who had a one time been her high priest heard her cry and took her away to try and nurse her wound hoping to heal the light back to what it was before by healing the girl that she was trapped inside. It appeared that it would work. But, not quite in the way he had expected.
Airi, Liam, and Alex would come to be reunited. By fate or chance who was too say. Many factors bringing the family back together again. They would be decieved by someone pretending to be there father. Aine was found broken and came to live with her children as they tried to help their mother regain what she had lost as she hopped from age to age trying to gain back her barrings. As a result of this her youngest daughter Airi who had gained powers of her own as a pure soul would make a wish. A wish that would change everything for Aine.
Separate Paths...
She wished to help her mother and as a response the universe would divide her into two people. The universe giving Aine Murphy back her original form and life and creating a new body for the light. A body all her own one that unlike the other humans she had taken over was hers and hers alone. She had no idea what this means for her. She only knows she is now apart of the world that she much wanted to be apart of in her own form.
One by one the Lavoie children were found to be alive. One by one new family members were found and they are trying to reuinte and become one again. Aine lives among the witches her creations or travels the sea with her pirate friend. Depending on her mood. She cares for all her creations but her mortal children perhaps more than any other because she still remembers what it was like to give birth to them. She is there mother in every meaning of the word. The girl Aine was reversed to a time before she was there mother.
She was reunited with her real husband realizing the truth of who he was and the past connection that they had as well as her father and once husband who wants her to return to the Void and rule with him as she had eons ago. The future is new to her and there are so many possiblities but that is what it means to live isn't it?
